Privacy policy

1. Controller and contact
The controller for data processing by ATLAS FRAME is Leonard Oldekop, Seestrasse 65, 8700 Küsnacht, Switzerland. Please send privacy enquiries to atlasframe.contact@gmail.com.
This policy covers the configurator, print preparation and the payment, production and delivery processing required for enabled Swiss orders. Swiss data-protection law applies. Where the GDPR also applies to particular processing, its rights and requirements remain available.
2. Website, security and contact
Wix hosts the website and processes IP addresses, requested URLs and browser and device information to deliver and protect it. Fonts and MapLibre program files are served through this hosting.
Optional Wix categories for analytics, advertising, additional functional processing and sharing with third parties are disabled by default. The cookie banner offers “Accept all”, “Necessary only” and individual choices for additional features, statistics and marketing/sharing. Your choice is confirmed through Wix’s consent manager and stored in its consent cookie. You can change it later through “Cookie settings”. Previously saved visitor choices may differ from the default. Wix may use technically necessary cookies and an anonymous visitor identifier. The Wix defaults do not automatically block direct map and search requests.
When you contact us by email, we process the sender, contact details and message to respond. Our contact mailbox is provided through Gmail.
3. Maps, search and personalisation
OpenFreeMap receives your IP address and the requested tile coordinates when the map loads. Place-search terms are sent to Photon at photon.komoot.io; searching can begin after a short typing pause. Search terms may contain personal addresses. Enter only the information needed to select your place.
Your design contains the map area, coordinates, zoom, place name, style and personal text. Map data is fetched on the server for printing. Your chosen text and delivery address are not sent to the map provider. For supported older designs, boundary coordinates may be sent to overpass-api.de or overpass.private.coffee.
If you explicitly enable satellite/aerial imagery, your IP address and tile coordinates are transmitted to the selected imagery provider: for Switzerland, the Swiss federal geoservices (geo.admin.ch, SWISSIMAGE by swisstopo); outside Switzerland, EOX (tiles.maps.eox.at, Sentinel imagery from 2016). This view is for orientation and is not included in the ordered map design.
4. Designs and print files
Older designs saved on your device may remain in local browser storage until replaced or deleted through the browser. After you explicitly request saving, a design may be held temporarily in the tab’s session storage before sign-in so it can then be added to your account. Private access to an ongoing purchase and test-order information may also be held there. You manage downloaded design files yourself.
An optional customer account uses Wix for registration and sign-in. Wix processes the required credentials and session cookies. We do not store passwords in the design collection. After sign-in, saved designs, including text, map area and an optional small preview, are linked to your account in access-restricted Wix data collections. This lets you access your collection on other devices. Saved designs are not orders.
Registration and, where required, sign-in use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise through the Wix integration to prevent automated access. When the security check is loaded and used, Google processes technical connection, browser and interaction data. Wix receives the proof to validate authentication. Google information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/terms.
You may optionally save and delete a Swiss delivery address in your account for future orders. During print preparation, this address is passed to checkout to prefill the form; you review the actual order details before purchase. Card numbers and card security codes are not stored in this address and design collection. The order overview uses order and payment statuses confirmed by Wix. Removing a favourite does not delete order records that must be retained.
Preview and recovery links may contain coordinates and text in readable URL parameters. Link recipients and the website host can see this information.
When you request print preparation, your design and text are sent to AtlasFrame processing on Wix. Designs and status information are held in access-restricted Wix data collections. The print file is held privately in Wix media storage and accessed through a time-limited signed link. Your design may cause the file to contain personal information.
You can use the cart and place an order without a customer account. When you use the cart, we set the necessary __Host-atlasframe-cart-embedded cookie (or __Host-atlasframe-cart for older guest carts) for 30 days. It contains a random, signed access identifier, not names, delivery addresses or payment details. Associated designs, quantities and order references are stored securely on Wix. The identifier provides access to this guest cart and its order status in this browser. Deleting or expiring the guest access details removes this browser access; order records subject to legal retention remain. Guest carts do not sync across devices.
If the browser does not restore the cookie, the same signed identifier, restricted to guest access, is kept in necessary local browser storage instead. It also expires after no more than 30 days. In that case, delete the website data including local storage to remove guest access on this device.
5. Orders, payment, production and delivery
For an order we process the approved design, product, quantity, price and order reference, together with names, delivery and any billing address, email and contact information required at checkout. These details are used for contract formation, payment, production, delivery, customer service and necessary records.
Wix and the payment service selected at checkout process payment details. We receive order, payment and refund statuses and accounting information in particular. You do not need to send full card details to us in a message.
For the production and delivery you order, Prodigi receives the print file or access link, product and quantity, order references and necessary recipient and contact information. Prodigi uses production and delivery partners. Carriers receive the information needed for delivery and, where relevant, import processing.
For sandbox tests expressly initiated by you, the actual design is sent to Prodigi’s test environment with a fictional recipient address. Such tests are separate from paid orders.
6. Service providers and processing abroad
Wix.com Ltd. is based in Israel and identifies the USA and Ireland among its processing locations. Prodigi identifies Prodigi (UK) Ltd. in the United Kingdom as its default entity, with affiliated companies particularly in the Netherlands and USA. OpenFreeMap is offered by Hyperknot Software Kft. in Hungary and Photon by komoot GmbH in Germany. Private.coffee is based in Austria. Gmail may involve Google Ireland Limited in Ireland and Google LLC in the USA.
Additional technical processing locations may be involved depending on the provider and data flow. Applicable law requires an adequate level of protection or appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Wix and Prodigi describe standard contractual clauses among these safeguards. You may request information about the recipients, countries and safeguards used in your case at atlasframe.contact@gmail.com.

7. Retention and your rights
We retain data where needed for the requested service, order handling, accounting, investigating errors or outstanding claims. Records subject to statutory retention are kept for the required period. For other data we assess deletion or anonymisation when the purpose no longer applies. Expiry of a signed image link does not automatically delete the stored print file.
Under applicable law you may request access, correction and deletion in particular, and withdraw consent for the future. Where applicable, further rights include objection, restriction and portability. Write to atlasframe.contact@gmail.com, preferably with the relevant design or order number. We ask only for information needed to identify the record and reasonably verify your identity.
Statutory retention duties or other permitted grounds may limit deletion. You may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/, and any other competent supervisory authority.
